We started with one tent and a lot of ambition. Here's where that got us.

A bit of background.

Stretch tents arrived in the UK around 2005, when they first appeared on the festival scene. From the moment we encountered them, we knew they were something special — more sculptural, more adaptable, and frankly more beautiful than anything else on the market.

We've been specialising in them ever since. The Freeform stretch tent system is unlike any other structure in its durability, elegant lines and versatility. Installs in almost any space and creates a canvas from which you can bring your event to life. That flexibility is why they've become the structure of choice for the UK's best events — and why we've never looked back.

How CGSM Events came to be.

CGSM Events — originally Covent Garden Stretch Marquees — was founded in 2009 with a single large stretch tent and a clear vision: to bring genuinely beautiful, bespoke event spaces to clients who deserved better and wanted more. With the emergence of social media and the need and desire to shoot and post images of everything (especially events) ..The Stretch Tent was the backdrop event space everyone had been waiting for.

Over a decade later, we have more than 10,000m² of stretch tent canvas between CGSM and our sister company The Stretch Tent Company. Our teams of experienced riggers and crew ensure that each rig is set well and safely and to regulations. We have a client list that spans everything from intimate Somerset weddings and headline UK festivals, to international events as far afield as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ibiza, France, and Italy. We've worked with global brands like Nike, British Gas, Glastonbury and Harley Davidson.

We're still based in Bruton, Somerset. (Now also Milton Keynes). We're still a close-knit team. And we're still just as excited about stretch tents as we were on day one.
